Maweni House is fully equipped with bedding for 10 and crockery, cutlery and amenities for 12 guests. Please try to avoid having more than 10 people to sleep in the house. There is a spare room at the staff quarters should you wish to bring a member of your own staff.



We have 3 full-time staff and when the house is at full capacity, a further temporary staff member is drafted in. The indoor staff have worked for the family for many years and are extremely reliable. The staff are:

• Charles Ouma Juma is our resident caretaker and cook. He is in charge of the house and the rest of the staff. He cooks, drives, cleans, maintains the swimming pool and is your main point of contact. He is able to drive the house vehicle (not available for guest use) and can shop for you. Charles is an excellent chef and can turn his hand to most types of cooking. He specialises in fish and curry dishes, but please tell him how hot you like your curries!
  
  
• Beatrice, Charles’ wife, is our housekeeper. She looks after the bedrooms and bathrooms, and also deals with the laundry.
  
  
• James, the gardener, also looks after the swimming pool.
  
  

At night, security is provided by a professional organisation, KK Guards, who have a push button emergency call vehicle 5 minutes away.
